Remote rig

The main rig I use for imaging is out in Texas at StarfFont
Information on that setup

Williams Optics Redcat 51 on a Losmandy G11, I also use this with my Skywatcher Star Adventurer GTI. Run this with my Canon 80D as well.

My stuff!

Equipment

All my major equipment

Camera Monochrome: QHY 268M

My new QHY 268M! An amazing APS-C monochrome camera. I pair this with Antila LRGB Pro filters and Antila 4.5nm EDGE filters for Oiii and Sii. 7nm Antila Ha

Camera OSC: ZWO 533 MC Pro

My main one shot color dedicated astronomy camera

Mount: Losmandy G11G

I have the latest level 6 hard drive upgrade with tucked in motors, and RA extension.

Portable Mount: Sky-watcher Star Adventurer GTI

Great little portable guy. Easy to move and tracks well, GOTO is also really nice!

Refracting Telescopes: Stellarvue SVX 102T-R Raptor and the Williams Optics

The Stellarvue has the .74x reducter/flattner which I use for it. It was made in May of 2023 and has an amazing .997 Strehl! I still use my Redcat from my wider field projects as well. My Askar is mainly used as a guide scope.

Reflecting Telescope: 12.5in Mag 1 Portaball

I am a proud owner of a 1997 12.5in Mag 1 Portaball. This one has a near perfect Pegasus mirror and it is wonderful scope to pair with my night vision. I use it for outreach and for my own use too.

Brain: PrimaLuceLab Eagle 4s

My Eagle 4s has upgraded 1TB SSD+32GB of ram on Windows 11, this is a beast now

Mini Brain: ZWO ASIAIR PLus

My ASIAIR plus is great to have for my smaller setup, simple and easy and an upgrade from my older Mini

Focuser: PrimaLuceLab SestoSenso 2

It is an amazing focuser  that is incredibly accurate and easy to control.  I also can still focuser normal if I need to which is awesome if I want to do some visual observing.

Flip Flat: Optec Alnitak Flip Flat

Great for morning flat automation. Looks nice too. If I ever go remote this would have been a necessary purchase.

Guide Equipment

For auto guiding

Telescope: Askar FMA 180

Just an amazing little 40mm guide scope

Camera: ZWO 290mm Mini

Another amazing little guide cam

Accessories

Everything else

Dew Heaters

I use PrimaLuceLab ones, they are great

Night Vision

I own a Gen 3 TSE Prowler with an OMNI IV tube. This thing is amazing! An astronomers best friend for me at least.

Filters Mono

Like stated earlier, I use a QHY CFW3 and inside are Antila LRGB V-Pro filters and Antila EDGE 36mm 4.5nm Oiii and Sii with 7nm Ha Antila. All 36mm

Filters OSC

I use a 2in Optolong L-Ultimate when shooting narrowband and a UV/IR cut filter for broadband imaging.

Solar Filter

I use a Thousand Oaks Optical Full Spectrum Solarlite Polymer. It is wonderful!

Image Acquisition

Software

N.I.N.A

I love using NINA as there are so many options and it really gives you full control over your setup

Image Processing

Software for image processing

Pixinsight

At first I though it was too expensive, but as I grew more into the hobby, Pixnsight becomes not a luxury, but a necessity!

Photoshop

I started with photoshop in the beginning but I still use it for final touches

Past Equipment

Things that I either have sold, or stopped using

ASAIR Mini

Star Tracker

Canon 80D DSLR

ZWO 30mm F/4 Guide scope

ZWO 120mm Mini

Optolong L-eNhance
